Why SuperMovers Was Created

Over the years, Simon and I kept hearing the same question from tennis coaches, parents, and players:

“How do we physically prepare young tennis players the right way?”

That question became the driving force behind SuperMovers.

We created the programme to help young players build the athletic foundations they actually need for tennis — movement, coordination, speed, strength, resilience, and confidence — through a system that is simple, progressive, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Not random workouts.
Not punishment fitness.
Not adult training copied onto kids.

Just smart, tennis-specific athletic development that helps players stay healthy, move better, and perform with confidence.

Now, through the SuperMovers Kickstarter Programme, our mission is simple:

To help more coaches, parents, and players access a proven system that develops athletes for the long term — giving young players the physical tools they need to thrive both on and off the court.

Because when players are physically prepared, everything changes.

What Players Say About Our Kickstarter Programme

”

I love SuperMovers because it helped me get faster and stronger on court. What I like the most is that I can do it anytime, and it works with my busy schedule.

It has really helped my speed & movement, and I would definitely recommend it to other kids too!

SuperMovers is a sport specific & progressive online programme.

It engages the player with their proven expertise & player centred approach. It is the best tool I have seen of its type.

Meet the Coaches

Behind Kickstarter

Howard Green

Before I ever coached a player or built a training programme, I served as a Royal Marines Commando — where discipline, resilience, preparation, and consistency weren’t optional… they were expected every single day.

That experience shaped the way I see performance forever.

When I moved into tennis, I quickly noticed a major problem:
So many young players were technically talented, but physically unprepared.

They struggled with movement.
Picked up preventable injuries.
And lacked confidence physically during matches.

That became my mission.

Over the last 17 years, I’ve worked with players across every stage of the pathway — from developing juniors to ATP, WTA and ITF athletes, including former world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic.

Alongside coaching, I’ve presented at tennis and performance conferences around the world, including the Australian Grand Slam Coaches Conference, Tennis Scotland Coaches Conference, and WTCA conferences in Paris and Eastbourne.

But the biggest lessons always came from being on court — seeing the gap between traditional fitness training and what young tennis players actually need to develop safely, confidently, and for the long term.

Simon Brundish

My introduction to performance coaching didn’t begin with chasing medals or headlines.

It began with a question:

Why do some athletes thrive under pressure and continue developing over time… while others break down before they reach their potential?

That question has driven my work for 30 years.

Across tennis, football, athletics, and youth development, I’ve spent decades studying what truly underpins long-term athletic performance.

I realised the best athletes weren’t always the ones doing the most.

They were the ones who moved better.
Recovered better.
Adapted better.

That belief became the foundation of my work.

Over the years, I’ve helped shape how coaches and parents think about movement, strength, and athletic development — while becoming a recognised voice in performance science through the Fatigue Index podcast and contributions featured by CNN, ESPN, The Times, and The New York Times.

That journey led to the creation of StrengthLab Superheroes — a movement and strength system now used by more than a million young athletes worldwide.
