Tennis players are becoming much better athletes. The ability to be able move at speed with great agility and skill, while lasting long matches is now needed, even in junior tennis.

So, whether you are a youth tennis player, parent or coach, ask yourself:

 * Are you physically prepared for these demands?

* Do you have a solid fitness programme that you follow?

* Do you maximise every warm-up to build your athletic qualities?

This free workout comes from a fantastic Facebook Live session that was delivered as part of an ‘at home’ series during lockdown.

The programme allows you to achieve a quality tennis-specific fitness routine in a small space without any fancy equipment.

Use the routine for warming up prior to playing tennis, or at home for a full fitness session.

Video 1 - Includes a full explanation and coaching points for all exercises, so you understand the context and importance of all the content.

Video 2 – Simply follow along rep by rep to complete the workout in under 12 minutes.
